|The Kazakhstan Finance Ministry intends to launch three issues of the government bonds in total amount of 52 bln tenge (about USD400 mln) in the first quarter of 2005, as announced by the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange on Thursday.|
The ministry plans to place 10-year bonds (government long-term savings bonds) worth 18 bln tenge on January 27, 3-year mid-term bonds worth 18 bln tenge on February 23, and 9-months short-term bonds worth 16 bln tenge on March 30, 2005.
In 2005 the ministry will place government bonds on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange for the first time. Previously they could be bought only by primary dealers on specialized auctions.
