The Zeppelin Group The name Zeppelin stands for diversity. That goes for our products, our services, areas of business and our international presence. We employ 6,300 people at 190 locations in 26 countries around the world. Just a few examples: Our industrial plants are located in Brazil and India. We are trading partners for Caterpillar construction machines in Germany, Austria and many eastern European countries, where we supply our customers with construction machinery and provide additional complex on-site services. Agricultural machinery manufactured by New Holland and Claas and distributed by Zeppelin can be seen at work in the grain fields of Russia. Ships fitted by us with CAT and MaK engines are out there on the high seas and trains we've equipped with electro-diesel drive systems are running reliably across New Jersey. If you see road works in Germany, then the traffic control systems might well be hired from our equipment rental company. Zeppelin stands for quality. The Zeppelin Group has an annual turnover of 2 billion euros. Customer focus and problem solving from a single source are things which mean a lot to us. The Group is divided into five strategic business units: The portfolio of Construction Equipment EU covers distribution and services for CAT construction machines and Hyster fork-lift trucks. Their eastern European counterpart is the Construction and Agro Equipment CIS business unit. The Rental division provides customized equipment hire and gives the customer the opportunity to hire construction machines like front loaders and excavators or equipment such as containers and temporary fencing as and when they are required. The exciting world of drive systems and energy generation is there to explore in Zeppelin Power Systems. This division deals with distribution and services for integrated system solutions for a wide variety of industries, focussing on modern CAT and MaK engines, power generators and the construction of combined heat and power plants. The Plant Engineering division specialises in producing and constructing industrial plants for high-grade bulk solids. We supply turnkey plants to the rubber and tyre industries, to plastics producers and processors, the food and drinks industry and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Zeppelin stands for commitment. Social commitment is an intrinsic element of our identity and something we set great store by. Some of our profits go to the Zeppelin Foundation in Friedrichshafen, which in turn gives financial support to charitable causes. We are also involved in sponsorship, and provide backing for cultural, social, sporting and educational initiatives.
